Appraisars do not authenticate works of art, but can facilitate research and work with experts who do. Research can establish a solid provenance while also discovering exhibition and publication history.

All appraisal reports are prepared in conformity with the Principals of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the American Society of Appraisers and adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice of the Appraisal Foundation, organizations dedicated to promoting high standards of the appraisal profession.
